Still can't find a place to watch your favourite team?
Melbourne is not called ‘The Sporting Capital of the World’ for nothing. The city has some fantastic bars that encourage football fans to come together and enjoy the beautiful game. That means you can get as close as possible to the atmosphere in Russia, without actually being there, all the while drinking your favourite beers with your best mates. Here is a list of the sports bars that are screening the FIFA World Cup 2018.

The FIFA World Cup is here and that signals a whole month of exhilarating football. This spectacle is best watched with plenty of fans together, feeling every single emotion. The place to be right now is Russia, but obviously, it isn’t possible for all of us to be there. That does not mean you have to cheer your favourite teams and players from the confines of your house though.
Great Northern Hotel
Aptly named, the Great Northern Hotel has 10 HD screens and two huge projector screens. That means it can screen multiple sporting events all at once, including the FIFA World Cup. Perfect for sports fans who want a bit of everything. And for fans who want to take their dogs along with them.

The Imperial (Bourke)
They call themselves ‘Melbourne’s home for sport’. It is hard to disagree with them, because they screen almost every sport you can think of. NFL, AFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, EPL, La Liga and the FIFA World Cup. Right next to the historic Princess Theatre, the rooftop bar at The Imperial has a jumbotron screen - so the ambience is perfect for football fans.
If you want to catch live sport, great food and a selection of beers, Crafty Squire is the place to go. Home to the James Squire Brewhouse, this local pub screens everything, including the FIFA World Cup, the EPL, AFL, Cricket, NRL, Rugby Union, NBA and MLB. They are open 24/7 during the World Cup and If I were you, I would definitely check this place out.
College Lawn Hotel
Famous for being home to passionate rugby fans, the College Lawn Hotel is the place to go if you are close to Prahran and want to watch the FIFA World Cup. They have Happy Hours on Friday, steak nights, parma nights and trivia on other days of the week, so you are guaranteed a good time.
Well the name says it all, doesn’t it? Three big screens and multiple TVs ensure that everything from the FIFA World Cup to the Rugby World Cup is covered. They even plan on screening the NBA Draft! Popular among American sport aficionados, the Turf Bar place to watch sports in comfort and style.
Beer Deluxe FedSquare
The Beer Deluxe is going one step further than screening all the World Cup games. They have picked eight participating countries and will be serving the finest brews from these countries. Tick off all the eight on the Beer Scorecard and win a Beer DeLuxe hoodie. With 2 big screens and 2 plasmas throughout the beer garden, this should be a bustling venue.

The Duke is already popular for the atmosphere they create during matches and it can only get better with the World Cup on. The pub has nine screens for you to catch the action and some mouth watering food to go along with it. And if the Three Lions is who you are cheering for, we will definitely see you there.
The Corner Hotel
If you thought the Corner Hotel was an amazing venue for music, you are right. But if you thought it was an amazing venue only for music, you are slightly off the mark. The hotel is in Richmond, which means they are in a great location, love all ball-sports, and will be screening every one of the FIFA World Cup games. It is a busy place, so we would recommend booking a table before you go.
An Authentic Brazilian Churrascaria, they is a popular viewing destination for football fans. For the World Cup, they have decided to screen some of the big games with party music, South American beverages and discounted beverages. Did we tell you about the delicious caipirinhas?
The MiddlePark Hotel is certainly screening some of the big games, but which ones? That is a mystery. We are sure that they would be screening all of the Socceroos games, but for the rest, you will have to call them up and ask.
Of course Crown is going to be amongst the action. It is easily the first place you might have thought of and that is why they are making it better. They are launching ‘the ultimate World Cup experience’ at The Lounge with recliner armchairs and 90-inch TV screens. If the VIP treatment is not what you were looking for, you can always enjoy the action at their Sports Bar.

Red Eye Bar
Red Eye Bar is the backpacker hub in St.Kilda and they are showing every game Live and Loud. It gets even better because they serve food and drinks until 6 AM on matchdays. With 5 screens and extremely cheap drinks, you might want to pay them a visit.
Charles Dickens Tavern
Well, they are British, so you can expect some very British drinks. But that also means old-school and warm, if that is what you like during the World Cup. And no, they aren’t just showing the England games, because they have quite a few Socceroos who frequent the place as well.
We love when the world comes together through sporting events such as the World Cup which is why SportsHosts brings locals and travellers together to watch sports in a new way.
